Stuart McLeod
Managing Partner
Stuart McLeod is co-founder of Ventex and a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of building and scaling technology-led businesses in the energy sector.
Stuart MacLeod - known as StuMac - made his name as CEO of Qedi, a commissioning software company acquired by Amec plc in a £33 million deal.
Over the past two decades, he has specialised in commercialising technology, scaling ventures in capital-intensive industries, and building high-performance teams capable of navigating complexity while delivering hypergrowth.
This hands-on experience culminated in the creation of the Ventex Velocity Playbook (V2P), a practical and proven framework that replaces outdated business plans with a system designed to scale advanced technologies intelligently and rapidly.
As co-founder of Ventex Studio, Stuart leads on investment strategy and business model design, working with technically strong businesses that lack market traction. He helps them find product-market fit, unlock customer value, and accelerate growth with less risk.
Stuart believes many of the solutions to global energy and climate challenges lie within the UK’s industrial supply chain. His work focuses on repurposing proven capabilities from traditional energy sectors into high-growth tech ventures, transforming operational depth into scalable innovation.
