John Polson

John is one of the energy industry’s top emerging leaders, known for his analytical mindset, operational focus, and strong track record in delivering complex projects across the energy transition.

Before joining Rovtech, John was Director of Projects at Aratellus, where he sat on the senior executive team and led high-value, multi-stakeholder energy programmes. His appointment as CEO marks a new chapter for Rovtech, which was acquired by Ventex in 2024 and is now scaling its manufacturing capabilities and global footprint to support a growing demand for net zero infrastructure solutions.

John leads a team with deep technical expertise in robotic intervention and monitoring systems for extreme environments — from high-radiation nuclear sites to subsea energy operations. Under his leadership, Rovtech is expanding into new markets, opening an Aberdeen office, and evolving its product portfolio to support both decommissioning and next-generation renewable projects.

John’s vision is to position Rovtech as the global leader in specialist engineering for the energy transition. He is passionate about combining cutting-edge manufacturing with a customer-first culture, and sees Rovtech’s two decades of experience as a springboard for rapid, sustainable growth.
